Join the Beaver County Library System for a premier literary event as we welcome New York Times bestselling author Kate Quinn to Beaver County. This special evening explores the intersection of historical narrative, local heroism, and the upcoming 250th anniversary of America.

Keynote Presentation: We are honored to welcome back Leslie Przybylek, Senior Curator at the Heinz History Center. She will present a fascinating look into American history, specifically focusing on the vital roles and initiatives of local women during the wartime era.

Featured Author: Kate Quinn Following our keynote, Kate Quinn will take the stage. She will explore how her characters and themes inform her writing process and how her work aligns with the E.P.I.C. framework (Education, Preservation, Innovation, and Celebration) in honor of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.

Interactive Q&A Session: Following the presentation, we will open the floor! This is a wonderful opportunity to ask the author about her research process, her inspirations, and the stories behind her beloved novels.

Cool down and fuel up! A cold brew coffee bar will be available on-site, provided by Beaver Falls Coffee and Tea. Additional light refreshments will also be served.

  • Book Signing: A signing session with Kate Quinn will follow the presentation. For those who cannot stay, pre-signed bookplates will also be available.
  • Purchase On-Site: Barnes & Noble Campus Bookseller will be at the event with a limited selection of titles available for purchase. Please note: Sales are Cash Only.
  • Shop Local: We are proud to collaborate with two local Beaver County booksellers. We encourage you to visit their shops to find Kate’s titles leading up to the event!

One Book Beaver County (1BBC) is a Beaver County Library System iniative to inspire and celebrate the love of reading! Our goal is to bring community members together to read and discuss the same book, culminating into an opportunity to meet the author, at no cost. This year, 1BBC is made possible by PA Cyber, The Communtiy College of Beaver County, and a grant from Beaver County's America 250 Committee.
