Let’s Remake Learning with Drones!

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll dive into the world of drone technology and drone racing. Participants will learn basic drone terminology, flight concepts, and real-world uses—like land surveying with Fixed Wing Survey Drones and how FAA drone registration works. You’ll also complete simple flight log activities to build aviation awareness.

Throughout the session, you’ll take part in fun, interactive challenges, including designing a drone obstacle course and working with others to build a small drone race track. After practicing how to control a tiny drone, you’ll team up to test your skills and compete for your best flight time.

A special highlight is a First Person View (FPV) Fly-A-Long with FAA‑registered drone pilot Davey Wagner (Captain Davey), giving you an immersive look at flying from a pilot’s perspective.

To finish the event, the library will host a Drone Flight Log Raffle for a chance to win a Holy Stone 210 mini drone to continue your drone journey at home.

*An accompanying adult, with children aged 7-9, must stay in the library during the workshop.
